Working at Google’s HQ has some notable quality perks, like stock options that make you an instant millionaire. They also host an author reading series on campus during lunch: Authors@Google. Then they post the whole thing online just to taunt you.

Critical Mass linked to a recent reading by Junot Diaz (The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao). I had heard that Diaz does an excellent reading, and I had just finished reading the book (review coming soon-ish). It was a perfect storm of Diaz, so I had to check it out. It’s an interesting reading, and I highly recommend it if you have read the book or are thinking about checking it out.
