Storycasting
If you’ve ever begun to cast the “movie version” in your mind as you reading a book, you way want to check out Storycasting to see how your dream cast matches up with other contributors. Surely you can cast someone better than Jake Gyllenhaall as Holden Caufield or Tom Cruise as Gatsby.

Jake Gyllenhaall? Don’t people realize that Holden is 16 when the novel takes place? Who else would they want? Wilfred Brimley? Also, it seems that the only person Salinger ever seriously considered for the part of Holden was himself.

Sometimes it’s by the author, sometimes it’s very good, sometimes it’s just silly. There’s a cast for Pride and Prejudice using Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint – yes, the Potter couples. As for Holden, whom do you suggest? You can go to the site and cast it your way, or just comment on the casts of others. But by all means, have fun!
