Best Ever Summer Reads

The Telegraph (UK) lists the 50 Best EVER Summer Reads.   There are a few books on the list that seem way too academic for taking to the beach, but its worth a look.

    It’s very interesting to see how the Brits differ from us in choosing summer reading. Americans tend to prefer reading what are basically TV shows in convenient book form on the beach. The Brits like reading actual books. Of course, their beaches are much colder than ours.

    That’s the best and most succinct description of American summer reading I’ve ever read. When you’re looking at the beach out of a window, it may be more convenient to read some of the British documentary-style tomes.
