A few days ago, I linked to a presentation on the Penguin blog about books that make interesting use of text. I liked it so much, that I made my own presentation, which you can check out here.
This may easily be my most nerd-tastic endeavor yet. Or maybe that record is still held by this…

Well done!
Not the slightest bit nerdy.

Thanks, Beth. I think any time that one breaks out PowerPoint for home use, one is on dangerously nerdy ground.

Hey, I’m glad you liked the slideshow - and it makes me happy you made your own version. More people should do this!

Thanks, Alan. It was actually a lot of fun to do. This was my first slideshare project, but I will be looking for new ways to use this tool.

I love the Shark one - very nice. If I remember correctly, Dave Eggers book writing A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius also uses some interesting typography.

Very cool. This reminds me of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road scroll, which is currently on display at the Harry Ransom Center. In the Guest Book, some cool cat called for a re-release of his book in actual scroll format. Now, that would be the utmost.
