Group Photo
Pictured together are select members of the BGB organization and an even more select group of friends (i.e., those that chose to participate). Our collected Simpsons avatars have congregated beneath the Eiffel Tower. You know, like they do.

Back Row (l to r): Frank, Herman Glimscher, Nitro Nicole, Wordsmiths Russ,
Lain Shakespeare, and Jenn.
Front Row (l to r): Rich, Dr J, Rae Rae, DJ Cayenne, L’il Cayenne, Shortbus (aka Mrs. Cayenne), Shaft, and Toronto Beth
Thanks to everyone who wasted precious time (and lots of it) to participate. My original idea was to do a version of the Sgt. Peppers album. I vastly over-rated my PhotoShop skillz. If you’ve got a hankerin’ to waste even more time, Lain is collecting famous dead people as Simpson avatars over at the Wren’s Nest blog.

Y’all are cool. And yellow.
Now I gotta check out Lain’s collection.

Glad I joined in – finally, a group shot where I don’t cringe at seeing myself.
Everyone looks great!
(Of course they do – I have no idea what they look like in real life!)

Beths: We are a handsome crew.

Why am I so orange? And why is shortbus taller than Lil Cayenne?

Aaarrgh! How did I miss this? I’ve always wanted to go to Paris as a cartoon. Dang, I really should check your blog more often.
BTW, thanks for spreading the word on the HP gang sign. DA, represent! And, yes, I’m wearing the Trust Snape shirt today. In fact, I had to skip work yesterday because it wasn’t clean (seemed like a valid excuse at the time).
Oh, and I love that Shortbus also made herself “child-size.” Me, too! Hee hee…
By DJ Cayenne, July 18, 2007 @ 11:04 pm
OK: The child-sized person between me and Mrs Cayenne (shortbus) is my daughter, who is smaller than both of us. L’il Cayenne (my daughter) is three, which is why she’s smaller. She is pictured, because one of her many talents is picking the winners’ names out of a hat for our contests.
Dr J: You were that color when you arrived in my inbox.
Lillian: Sorry you missed it. A dirty Trust Snape shirt is a fine reason to miss work. Love that shirt.
By Lillian, July 19, 2007 @ 12:32 pm
Oh, that explains why the child is child-sized (oops, next time I’ll read the caption properly!).
Why I Simpsonized myself in child-size…weeeell, I’m sure that reveals something about me that you probably already knew from my wearing the same T-shirt for weeks on end.
Last night, I tried to make a Jane Austen avatar for Lain, but that didn’t work out so well. Sigh.
