BGB Group Photo
During commercial breaks in last night’s Tour coverage, I was goofing around with the Simpson’s Movie avatar generator. You can create a character that approximates your appearance by selecting various parts and they are magically lumped together to create what you would look like on the Simpsons. Here’s what I came up with for myself:

If you are up for it, e-mail your creation to – admin at babygotbooks.com. All are welcome. I’ll take all of the submitted characters and Photoshop them into a BGB group photo at some point down the road. I totally stole this idea from Bill Walsh’s Blogslot.

I’ve got four avatars so far. Keep ‘em coming.

Yikes, Mr. DJ — it looks like you’ve been working out since we last had lunch. Or are you wearing your special “avatar shoulder pads” again?

I dunno. I made one but it looks worse than the reality. (And I didn’t save it.)
But I am going to sent this link to my son – a rabid Simpson’s fan.

Beth: We all look ridiculous – send it in. Have you seen the overbite on me above?
All: If you’re having an issue downloading your avatar – as in you can’t download it – here’s a work around. When you’re finished, hit ctrl/print screen. Paste the whole thing into a Word or PowerPoint or whatever document and e-mail the whole thing to me. I’ll hook you up. We’re up to 12 avatars and counting.

Mac users: Complete the avatar in your browser, open the Grab program in your Utilities folder, do a capture or “grab” of your browser window and save it to the desktop. (It’ll be a TIFF file.) Then open with Preview, use the crop tool to isolate your avatar / cut away all the extraneous stuff, then save it to the desktop again.

Commodore 64 and Vic 20 users: Get the avatar on your screen, get out your markers, and draw a picture of what you see. Mail it to DJ Cayenne’s home address.

This has taken me forever but I don’t want to wimp out. I’m sending “me” along.
Many thanks to Frank from a Mac user.
