Gone Fishin’
Sadly, this is another lazy man’s post. I’m going to duck out and enjoy the holiday. But first, a few tidbits that I’ve been meaning to get around to but haven’t. Enjoy at your leisure. See ya some time later in the week.
- Gary Shteyngart (one of Granta’s best young American novelists) is interviewed at The Guardian.
- Fancy pants Canadian hotel chain The Drake is now leaving books for its guests at their doorstep, compliments of our friends at HarperCollins Canada. First up was Richard Flanagan’s The Unknown Terrorist. Beats getting a beat up USA Today.
- CNN.com talks with Michael Chabon about The Yiddish Policemen’s Union. I hope to finish my post on the book at some point. (Thanks to Decatur Beth for forwarding the link.)
- BGB’s RaeRae forwarded me this link on June 3. The NYT Book Review rounded up your favorite authors to see what they were reading. Nothing like being timely.
- The Guardian and the New York Times have reviews of Miranda July’s No One Belongs Here More Than You.
OK then. Have a great Fourth. See ya later.

I’m shocked; you’re going out of town?
I may stay at The Drake just for the books. I’ll have to check their circulation list for a good week.
Have a great holiday!
