Let me clarify my philosophy. If I already have a book in my possession, in the "to read" pile, and someone else posts on it, I won't read that post until I'm done with the book and write my own post. I think I'm less worried about spoilers than I am about being called a copycat if I say the same things in my post.

So, to rephrase, I read every post except those that are on books that I already have and plan to read. And doing so has inspired me to read a lot of books that I might not have otherwise selected, and has deterred me from reading books that I might have taken a shot at.

Ooooo, I'm Shaft. I went to law school. Dork.

Wait. Sorry about that. I was expecting a shout out to the Clash, now that you mention it. But I sort of liked that Tom marched to his own drummer. The book that he thought was the best thing ever - the one about the Catholic monk - that's off the beaten path my friend. His love of The Sweet is also off center, to say the least. Just great stuff all around.

So how do you know which books you plan to read so you can avoid those posts? Do you just skip all the long posts and hope for the best?

Okay, I just read DJ Cayenne's post, and I second his emotions. Although I must confess that while the depiction of high school in this book seems very stereotypical based on John Hughes films I've seen, it's drastically different from my high school. Which may have worked to my advantage.

And I can't believe I didn't mention that Frank Portman is in the Mr. T Experience. I used to listen to them when I was in law school. He's put together a pretty damn cool resume.
