One thing that made me smile this morning - the Mayor of New Orleans announced that the Federal Government is ready to step in and help out with the rescue and rebuilding of the city, from the President on up.

Uh-oh. Cheney’s back from vacation. From the 9/6/05 AP story:
“Bush also announced he is sending Vice President Dick Cheney to the Gulf Coast region on Thursday to help determine whether the government is doing all that it can.”
